A song rediscovered on a tape a few months after I had recorded/written it in the "the moment" in the middle of the night. I had only this version of the song, and knew it was too true - not to use. I layered additional "harmonizing" voices and music into the one-take, one track, raw ethereal vocal/guitar recording (stream of consciousness). I then made this "EQ in motion mix" of the track using a mixer and EQ passes in real time. This song has had its title much longer than it had been written. I would dwell on the concept of "harmony" ..thinking it was stable or sought and achieved...I seemed to have realized at some point, it is a constant balance: to become & embrace harmony in its many disharmonious forms; in life, love, happiness, yourself and others. Harmony's Conflict is that "she" is in constant motion and at some point the metaphorical note fades and bends and becomes disharmonious with the initial harmony that may have been so easily formed or existed naturally. Harmony's Conflict is our misperception that anything is static, easy, "perfect" or still. We are water, we are cells constantly dividing, we are in motion. A yin/yang is not still, it's sides push and pull, bend and completely cover the other sometimes-. positive and negative. night and day. male and female. pushing and pulling. Being. Being. Being. Be the Change. Equalize your Equilibrium.
